Price Policy

The Journal of Sport & Movement Sciences (JSMS) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 5,000 TRY for all manuscripts submitted to the journal.

The APC covers the complete editorial and publication workflow, including but not limited to:

  • Initial editorial screening and technical compliance checks,
  • Plagiarism and publication ethics assessment,
  • Double-blind peer-review management,
  • Editorial evaluation and decision-making,
  • Communication with reviewers and authors throughout the review process,
  • Scientific editing and copyediting (when required),
  • Language and formatting checks,
  • Typesetting, page layout, and production (mizanpaj),
  • Metadata preparation and indexing support,
  • DOI (Digital Object Identifier) registration,
  • Proof preparation and author proof management,
  • Final quality control,
  • Assignment to a journal issue,
  • Online publication and long-term archiving of the published article.

The APC is required for all submitted manuscripts to support the editorial and publication processes described above. The fee is non-refundable, regardless of the editorial decision.

Payment of the APC does not guarantee publication. All manuscripts are evaluated exclusively on the basis of their scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Editorial decisions are made independently of any financial considerations.

A 20% APC discount is granted to researchers who have actively served as reviewers for the Journal of Sport & Movement Sciences (JSMS).

In addition, partial or full APC waivers may be granted, at the discretion of the Publisher and the Editorial Office, for submissions from researchers affiliated with institutions in developing countries or under other exceptional circumstances.

Furthermore, manuscripts submitted upon the recommendation or invitation of the Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, or Editorial Board members may be eligible for a partial or full APC waiver, subject to editorial approval.

The APC supports the sustainability of the journal's editorial, production, and publication services while ensuring the timely dissemination, permanent identification through DOI registration, professional article production, and long-term accessibility of published research.
